Sapporo (October–November 2024)
I took a stroll through the heart of Sapporo and filmed its autumn scenery. The main locations featured are central Sapporo, Hokkaido University, and Nakajima Park.
All footage was shot handheld using the Sony α7CII. While this served as a test for its stabilization capabilities, the results were quite impressive for handheld shooting. The primary lens used was the SEL24105G, with some scenes captured using the SEL24F14GM. For better stabilization, wide-angle prime lenses are ideal, but when shooting handheld without much camera movement, the SEL24105G works perfectly fine, even at the telephoto end.
This year’s autumn foliage seemed sparse, likely due to strong winds earlier in the season, but the vivid yellows were stunning. In the city, the ginkgo trees are currently in full autumn color.
