Sapporo, Hokkaido (November 7, 2024)
On November 7, when snow fell in Sapporo, I took a walk around my neighborhood with my camera. Here’s a glimpse of what I captured. Snow had fallen heavily enough to cover the streets, even with the last of the autumn leaves still around. Technically, the season’s first snow was recorded a bit earlier, but this was the first time it really settled in the city. With the sudden cold, I pulled out my winter coat and snow boots—Hokkaido’s winter is truly beginning.
Snow scenes are perfect for slow motion, but I accidentally filmed about half of the footage in regular speed before realizing it and switching to slow motion. For this shoot, I used a Sony α7Cii with a SEL24105G lens, and I added a few shots from my Osmo Pocket 3.
