日本酒で作る手作りシュトレン

This year(Dec,2024), I made stollen using Japanese sake instead of Western liquors. The dried fruits were soaked in sake, giving the stollen a subtle flavor that’s easier to enjoy compared to one made with stronger spirits.

It contains three types of raisins, cranberries, orange peel, lemon peel, figs, almonds, pistachios, walnuts, macadamia nuts, nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, and marzipan (Rohmasse).

I started using YouTube this year to share videos of my hiking adventures and the streets of Hokkaido. However, I also enjoy filming other subjects—like travel and cinematic food videos—to practice my camera work and editing skills.

I’ve come to feel that YouTube isn’t really set up for posting multi-genre content all on one channel. Because of that, I’ve decided to upload my non-hiking or non-Hokkaido videos exclusively on my blog from now on. If you’re curious about what else I’m working on, please drop by my blog occasionally to check it out.
